The Projects
DILAMBWE
The Dilambwe school and church were started in an attempt to meet a need in a small village outside of Kakanda - a town in the southeastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Land was donated, and the community worked to produce the beginnings of the first accessible school to have ever been built in these parts. The Dilambwe school, while modest, is home to 596 elementary and 120 high school students who are the first in their families to receive an education. Even more exciting than this, though, is the doorway God created through the relationships built by meeting this need to introduce the Gospel. Before long, plans were in the works for the very first church, and God has, just like that, reached and transformed one more group of people

LUBUMBASHI
The Lubumbashi school was started as a church family, which then saw a need for education in the families it serves. The community members along with the church members worked together to build a two-room school house that is currently providing classes for K-6th grade students. These students are the first to have access to education of any sort in their family. Before long, the school had grown beyond it's walls and an enlargement project was launched. With the school improvements under way, God once again blessed this community by providing a permanent piece of land for a permanent church to be built. Slowly, the brick walls went up, and the makings of a place of worship started to take shape. Once more, God has made a way to reach His people.

OUR PRAYER FOR THE FUTURE...
We pray that God continues to allow us to be a part of His work in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to the far corners of the earth. We pray that all the people of the Congo will be served with a local church they can all call home. A place they can learn of the love of God and the gift he gave the world in Jesus, discover the purpose He has for each of them, and worship together as family. Finally, we know education is a special gift from God that allows us to better know and pursue Him, while also serving to lift the chains of poverty. We pray and hope to be able to continue this work.
